Application Deadlines:

Framingham State reviews applications on a rolling basis for students who wish to begin their studies in the fall (September) and spring (January) semesters. The sooner that you apply and submit all required documentation, the sooner you will get an admissions decision. The Graduate Admissions team does have preferred deadlines of July 1 (Fall) and December 1 (Spring); however, will review applications up until the week prior to classes beginning.


Admissions Requirements:  

Completed online application 

A completed online application can be submitted without required documentation being added. You will get a link to your status page where you can upload required documentation at another time.

 

College-level Transcripts*

Applicants must provide transcripts from any and all colleges/universities attended in the past where college credit is received. Transfer credit is not calculated into an overall Bachelor's Degree grade point average.  

For applicants who've studied outside of the US, an official copy of the transcript and a course-by-course evaluation US equivalency must be sent to the University.

Letters of Recommendation

Within the application, there is a section where applicants enter their contact information for their recommenders. Letters of recommendation must come electronically through the application portal.

 

Statement of Purpose

The statement of purpose prompt can be located on your specific programs academic website.

  • Test Scores (if applicable) – please refer to your program’s webpage for required test scores
  • Art Portfolio – PBTL – Art, M.Ed. Secondary Education, Art and M.Ed. Art only via Slideroom
  • International Applicants – please refer to the International Applicant website for additional requirements on course-by-course evaluations and English Proficiency
